India is a dominant force in youth cricket, having won the U-19 World Cup in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022. They are renowned for producing and showing extraordinary talent. Players with distinct skill sets, such as captain Uday Saharan, Arshin Kulkarni, Aravelly Avanish, and Saumy Kumar Pandey, are on the squad.

Kulkarni and Avanish, two of these players, have already signed IPL contracts with the Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Supergiants, respectively. Before moving on to senior cricket, they will be keen to leave their mark on the world stage.
Saharan, who has led Punjab in all age categories and has a strong track record recently, would be essential in leading the squad. In his past three innings, Saharan, a right-handed batsman, has scored fifty runs or more, including a century against South Africa.
Promising athletes from Mumbai, such as Musheer Khan, who excelled in the national U-19 Challenger Trophy, are also included in the Indian team.

With Aaradhya Shukla, Saumy Kumar Pandey, and Arshin Kulkarni, who were among the top wicket-takers in the U-19 Challenger Trophy, the bowling department is well-equipped.
In excellent form, the Indian U-19 squad won all four games in the U-19 tri-nation series in South Africa; however, the match versus the hosts was a washout. The squad will, however, go cautiously into the competition, keeping in mind their December U-19 Asia Cup semifinal defeat to Bangladesh.
India’s U-19 cricket squad is eager to start the U-19 Cricket World Cup with a bang by playing Bangladesh in the first match and set the stage for a good campaign.
