Today, December 19, 2023, is the scheduled start date of the IPL Auction 2024 at the magnificent Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Cricket fans are looking forward to the different teams choosing their players. The auction this year is sure to be exciting, with a number of well-known athletes participating. The whole roster of players for the IPL Auction 2024, including those from abroad, has been made public. There will be 10 franchisees that take part in the auction. The franchises will probably go for the top players from the 2023 ODI World Cup since the auction takes place a month after the competition ends. It is expected that players like Mitchell Starc, Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, Shardul Thakur, and others would draw large and unprecedented offers.
On Tuesday, December 19, the Indian Premier League 2024 Auction will be shown on the Star Sports network and streamed online via Jio Cinema. The sale is scheduled to begin at 1 PM IST.
How many players are expected to be up for auction in the IPL 2024?
With 333 players signing up for the auction, the 10 organizations may occupy a maximum of 77 spots. Thirty of them will be international players. There are two from Associate countries, 116 capped players, and 215 uncapped players.
