Khelo India YG mascot is unveiled by the sports minister
At a lavish event in Chennai on Friday, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur and Tamil Nadu Government Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin introduced the official Khelo India Youth Games logo, jersey, mascot, and theme song.
Grand Master Viswanathan Anand, five-time world champion, Olympian fencer Bhavani Devi, badminton star Joshna Chinappa, and hockey Asia Cup bronze winner S Mareeswaran were among those present at the occasion. A prominent venue for young talent to display their abilities and participate at the national level is the Khelo India Youth Games.
The 6th Youth Games event, which is set to take place from January 19 to January 31, seems to be an intriguing one. With pleasure, Thakur unveiled “Veera Mangai,” the mascot. A replica of a previous Tamil queen warrior serves as the mascot.
The minister of sports for Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi, outlined the ways in which the state government has effectively organized international competitions in a number of sports and promoted sports.
