“Not a Big Fan” of the Impact Sub Rule, Rohit Sharma expresses worries about Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar in the 2024 IPL

Chandigarh: The Mumbai Indians are back on the road on Thursday as they play the Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. This comes after a devastating defeat to the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede. However, ex-MI captain Rohit Sharma expressed worries about the Impact Sub rule in IPL 2024 when questioned about it before the game. Declaring his distaste for the Impact Sub rule, Rohit said that it deprives guys like Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube of a lot of opportunities to bowl.

“I don’t really like the IMPACT Player regulation. According to Rohit Sharma on the Club Prairie podcast with Gilchrist, “It’s holding back the all-around talent of Indian players like Washington Sundar & Shivam Dube as they don’t get to bowl, which is not great for us as the Indian team.”

When MI plays PBKS tonight, Rohit will reach a significant milestone in the meantime. Rohit will play in his 250th IPL match, making him the second player to reach that milestone. He has scored 6472 runs at an average of 30.10 over 249 IPL games.

In order to restart their campaign, MI would want to win this match.
