Not from Pakistan or India! The toughest bowler David Warner has ever faced

Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn was rated by Australian cricket team batsman David Warner as the hardest bowler he has ever faced in his storied career. After playing his last Test match against Pakistan beginning on Wednesday, Warner announced the end of his ODI career and announced his retirement from the sport. With 439 wickets in 93 Test matches, Steyn is South Africa’s top wicket-taker and one of the most renowned fast bowlers in recent memory. Warner recounted a tense matchup with the Fast during a home series in 2016–17, mentioning how Steyn’s quick pace bothered him and Shaun Marsh.

“It’s without a doubt Dale Steyn. I go back to the WACA, the first Test of the home series against South Africa in 2016–17, when Shaun Marsh and I had to leave for an awkward 45 minutes of practice. Shaun approached me and said, “I don’t know how we’re going to face him because I can’t pull him.” According to cricket.com.au, Warner said, “He put me on my backside and I think he broke his shoulder as well that game.”

“Like Mitchell Starc, he’s a fierce competitor who swung the ball back into the right-hander at a fast pace. He did the same with the ball.” The seasoned Australian hitter said, “He was always a fiery customer who never gave you a smile and never gave you an inch or a sniff on the field.”

In the meanwhile, Australia named an unchanged lineup for David Warner’s farewell match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, choosing not to use a second spinner in the last Test match against Pakistan.

Following a tight 79-run victory to seal the three-match series, captain Pat Cummins gave his assurance that Australia’s fast-bowling trio had recovered well from the second Test in Melbourne, which took place four days earlier.

Pakistan has altered two things. Saim Ayub, making his Test debut, will begin the innings in place of Imam-Ul-Haq. Off-spinner Sajid Khan has been selected to replace Shaheen Shah Afridi.
