Ambati Rayudu, a former Indian batter, has chosen two players who are captaining the team for the first time in the IPL this year: Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant. The joint-most successful player in IPL history, a former batter for the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, even ventured to say that the two young players may lead India in the future.
The 38-year-old Rayudu, who declared his retirement from the IPL last year after helping CSK to the IPL 2023 championship, was quite complimentary of Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who are now heading the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, respectively, during a Q&A session on the Star Sports program.
Rayudu adds that Gill and Gaikwad have a bright future ahead of them and are extremely cool, collected leaders.
From a strategic point of view, there are two main points of contention: first, the future of India will be determined by this, and second, there will be a delay in progress. Both Gill and Gaikwad have won four of the nine games they have played in the current IPL 2024, and their teams are still in the running to make it to the playoffs.
