The Chennai team’s owner, Suriya, is welcomed to the ISPL T10 Cricket League

Due to recent owner disclosures, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has been in the news. Prominent individuals with these names include Ram Charan (Hyderabad), Hrithik Roshan (Bengaluru), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar), and Amitabh Bachchan (Mumbai). Now, Tamil actor Suriya is leading the Chennai squad in the tennis ball T10 cricket event, adding another star to the league’s roster of owners.

Suriya, the laureate of the National Award, said earlier on Wednesday that he would be the owner of club Chennai in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). “Vanakkam Chennai!” he said in a post on X. I am really excited to announce that Team Chennai has won ISPLT10. To all of the cricket fans: let’s work together to leave a legacy of sportsmanship, tenacity, and greatness in cricket.

“It’s an honor to be a part of ISPL, a platform dedicated to showcasing cricketing talent across India,” the Jai Bhim actor remarked, beaming with excitement. Chennai is particularly significant to cricket history because of the MA Chidambaram Stadium, which is the oldest continuously operating venue in India. Local players will get a rare chance to demonstrate their cricketing prowess in this thrilling new format thanks to the Chennai ISPL squad.

It’s interesting to note that the Indian Super League (ISL) is the country’s first tennis ball T10 cricket competition held inside. There will be six teams participating: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar. There will be 19 high-pressure matches. Mumbai will host the competition from March 2 until March 9.

Akshay Kumar has already said that he will co-own the ISPL squad from Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir. He shared a photo of himself wearing an orange jersey with his name and the number nine on the back. He said, “Hey guys, Jammu ki galiyon se stadium tak, aao apni zindagi badli jaaye! Proud to co-own the @ispl_t10 Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) team “Haane wala hai behad mazaa!”

Ram Charan, who plays for RRR, entered the league as the owner of Team Hyderabad, while Amitabh Bachchan is the owner of Team Mumbai. For the IPL, Hrithik Roshan purchased the Bengaluru squad.
