Thomas Bach, the IOC President, is hosted at the home of Nita and Mukesh Ambani

In advance of the 141st IOC Session, which will take place from October 15 to 17 in Mumbai, Nita Ambani and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani welcomed IOC President Thomas Bach at their home on Tuesday. Nita Ambani is the first woman from India elected to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Tuesday night, Nita Ambani welcomed Thomas Bach to their home in a traditional Indian manner in advance of the 141st IOC Session.

The IOC meeting, which is returning to India after a 40-year absence, is the ideal venue for showcasing the nation’s contributions to the Olympic Movement.

Sunday’s football game between Kerala Blaster FC and Mumbai City FC was attended by Thomas Bach and Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL).

Nita Ambani singled out talents like Sandesh Jhingan, Akash Mishra, and Sahal Abdul Samad among others, and she expressed her satisfaction at seeing the ISL recognize and develop these people’s abilities. She called it a very rewarding and proud moment for the whole league.

“The 10 years of developing football in our nation have been such an exciting and rewarding adventure. I owe a great deal of gratitude to all the players, sponsors, and supporters of this beautiful game as well as the many football fans who have assembled here, Nita Ambani said on Sunday.

“The most satisfying part of this journey has been developing new talent and providing them a stage to play on a global scale. It has been a very, truly exciting occasion for us at ISL since many of our young players who were identified, developed, and nourished by the ISL are now representing their countries, including Sandesh Jhingan, Sahal Abdul Samad, and Akash Mishra.

She was joined by Thomas Bach, the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), who thanked the ISL for helping Indian football make such strides in the previous ten years.

Bach complimented Nita Ambani and the whole FSDL team for providing the country’s top-tier football league this amazing shape and expressed his amazement at the fervent fan support during the game between the Islanders and the Blasters.

“It’s great to witness these really devoted and tranquil supporters cheering for the players while seated close to one another. We may have a true sporting experience here. It’s a wonderful match, and I can only be impressed by the ISL’s accomplishments over the last ten years, especially those of Mrs. Nita Ambani and the team, Bach added.
