WATCH: Sreesanth And Gautam Gambhir’s Onfield Feud Goes Viral; Ex-Pacer Says ‘Gauti Said Unacceptable Things

Gautam Gambir, a former batter for India, has been involved in another altercation on the field. This time, it happened on Wednesday night in Surat during the Legends League Cricket (LLC 2023) Eliminator match between the India Gujarat Giants and the India Capitals. Sreesanth and Gambhir, who were formerly comrades, got into a fight. Gambhir captains the Capitals, while Sreesanth plays for the Giants. Sreesanth uploaded a video criticizing Gambhir because he was so incensed by his alleged inappropriate actions.

Gambhir, the captain of the Capitals, whacked Sreesanth for a few boundaries in the second innings. It seems that Sreesanth frustratedly passed along some remarks to Gambhir. In response, Gambhir delivered the pacer a death gaze. That was not the end of it. After one of the Capitals batters left the game, a spectator took a video from the stands, and during the intermission, Gambhir and Sreesanth spoke again.

In a video posted on his Instagram page after the game, in which the Capitals defeated the Giants to secure a spot in Qualifier 2, Sreesanth accused Gambhir of making some disparaging remarks against him.

“I just wanted to set the record straight on what transpired with Mr. Fighter, who fights with all of his teammates without any justification. He doesn’t even show respect for many of his own senior players, such as Viru bhai (Virender Sehwag). That’s precisely what took place. He continued calling me names without any reason, which is very impolite. In the video, Sreesanth is heard stating, “Mr. Gautam Gambhir should never have spoken that.

After being charged with spot-fixing an IPL match, the former India bowler was barred from participating in any cricket-related activity. But a few years ago, the court overturned the prohibition, and Sreesanth has since participated in other leagues.

Sreesanth said that the remarks had damaged him and his family and that he would disclose precisely what Gambhir said to him during the match.

“I have nothing to do with it. You will eventually learn the words he used and why what he said on the cricket pitch was unacceptable.

I have experienced a great deal, as have my family and the state. With your help, I battled the fight by myself. People now seek to undermine me without cause. He made comments that were inappropriate,” Sreesanth said.

The fast bowler went on to criticize Gambhir, claiming that he lacks respect for both teammates and elders. According to Sreesanth, representing a team has no purpose if one does not appreciate one’s own colleagues.

“Representing people is meaningless if one does not appreciate one’s own colleagues. When questioned about Virat (Kohli) during the broadcast, he never answers; instead, he talks about anything else. I don’t want to go into any more specifics. I only want to express how heartbroken I am. My family is suffering. I haven’t used any foul language,” Sreesanth said.

Gambhir has not responded to Sreesanth’s remarks, in which he leveled serious charges against the cricket player. At the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2007 T20 World Cup, Gambhir and Sreesanth represented India as colleagues.
