Watch the viral video of Virat Kohli’s lookalike being mobbed at the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha event in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: It’s safe to say that one of the most, if not the “most popular,” cricket players of this time is former India captain Virat Kohli. And on Monday, during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha function in Ayodhya, his popularity was evident. The strange part about this situation is that his twin grabbed the stage instead of Kohli. Although Kohli was invited to the occasion, he was unable to go to Ayodhya; nonetheless, his doppelgänger made it, and he was accosted. Fans gheraoed Kohli when they saw someone who resembled him and demanded pictures from him. After appearing on social media, the incident’s video clip has gone global.

Kohli, however, has chosen to skip the opening two Test matches against England for “personal reasons.”

In an official statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that Virat Kohli has asked to be removed from the first two Test matches of the next Test series against England due to personal concerns.

The BCCI said that they would shortly reveal Kohli’s successor.

While reiterating that his first focus has always been serving his country, Kohli has discussed “certain personal situations that demand his presence and undivided attention” with team management, selectors, and India captain Rohit Sharma.

According to the statement, “Virat has communicated with Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors, emphasizing that although serving his country has always been his first priority, some personal matters require his presence and undivided attention.”

“The Board and team management have extended their support to the star batter and the BCCI respects his decision. They also have faith in the ability of the remaining squad members to step up and produce outstanding performances in the Test series.”
