Zaka Ashraf, the head of the PCB, will visit India on Thursday for the Pakistan vs. India game

Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the management committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will go to India on Thursday to attend the team’s match against India, which is slated to take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday.

After it was established that the media staff had been granted the all-clear to submit their passports for an Indian visa to cover the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, Ashraf took the choice to visit India, the PCB stated in a statement.

“I have postponed my trip to India, and I’m leaving tomorrow now that I’ve learned that Pakistani journalists must present their passports in order to secure visas in order to cover the major event. I’m pleased to have had a productive meeting with the foreign office that resulted in a resolution to the visa holdup, the PCB head stated.

“The players’ performance in the World Cup so far has been outstanding, winning both games. The players have the full support of the PCB management committee and the whole country as they compete in the present World Cup.

In order to inspire the squad, he said, “I am going to India. Before the India contest, my message to them will be to play fearlessly as they have been playing throughout the event.”

In their second World Cup match, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands in Hyderabad. On Tuesday at the same location, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka to set a record.

The most eagerly awaited match of the league round of the competition will be when they face India in Ahmedabad.
