Is There A New Fast Metro Line To Connect Noida Airport With Ghaziabad RRTS? Details Are Provided Inside

The detailed project report (DPR) for the RapidX-cum-metro line will be finished by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and submitted by April 4, according to a statement made on February 23 by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

The alignment of this project in Greater Noida’s sector Omega-I was negotiated by representatives of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation.

A senior Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority (YEIDA) executive said that while the 72.26 km RapidX-cum-metro route from Ghaziabad RRTS to Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar has 38 stations, the current DPR considers 25 stations, on which construction would begin in the first phase.

“The Detailed Project Report (DPR) suggests 25 stations, among which 11 are designated for RapidX-cum-metro, while 14 stations are exclusively for metro stoppages,” YEIDA Chief Executive Officer Arun Vir Singh said, as published by Hindustan Times.

The suggested path will go via the Ghaziabad RRTS station, Pari Chowk, Surajpur, Ecotech VI, Dankaur, Noida International airport at GTC (ground transportation center), Greater Noida (Sector 2), Greater Noida West (Sector 4), Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida (Sector 12), Yeida North (Sector 18), Yeida Central (Sector 21, 35), and Yeida North (Sector 18).

Using this suggested route, the RapidX will provide quick connection between the Delhi Airport and the Noida airport sector in Jewar. There will be three coaches in the metro operating on this route, and eight coaches in the quick rail. Starting with Sarai Kale Khan, this will grow to be the biggest hub of the rapid rail transit system.

“The NCRTC is working on the DPR, which should be delivered to the appropriate authorities by April 4. Twenty-five stations will be created in the first phase, while the other 13 stations will be developed in subsequent stages, according to Singh.

Arun Vir Singh went on to say that after receiving the necessary clearances from the governments of India and Uttar Pradesh, the project’s development would go on to the next phase. The initiative would shorten the time it takes to go from Indira Gandhi Airport to Noida International Airport. The NCRTC designed the RapidX system such that a high-speed Rapid Rail vehicle traveling at a maximum speed of 140 km/h could finish the trip in around 45 minutes.

According to the media site, the elevated project is expected to cost over Rs 16,200 crore, and completion is scheduled for 2031. Once the state and federal governments have accepted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) in accordance with the established processes, the cost will be determined. Twenty percent will belong to the Central Government, fifty percent to the State Government, and thirty percent to NAIL.

According to Singh, the alignment would carry 2.95 lakh people daily in 2031, rising to 5.23 lakh by 2041 and 6.32 lakh daily in 2051.
