A user on Threads draws attention to the similarities between “Adipurush” and Twitter’s clone app

Since its debut, Threads has gained widespread recognition, capturing people’s attention and igniting intense debates. At first, there was a rumor that Mark Zuckerberg was trying to mimic Elon Musk’s Twitter style, which gave the story a fascinating turn. The app’s first sense of novelty and intrigue, however, appeared to fade over time as it failed to retain it, prompting users to reevaluate their interests.

An unexpected comparison between the Threads app and Om Raut’s “Adipurush” has been made by a user amid the background of many Threads users uninstalling the app due to its apparent tedium. The picture posted by Threads user @sagarcasm has gained a lot of attention online since it shows how very alike the two are.

The first item on the list, “Work of inspiration,” highlights how Threads was inspired by Twitter, while “Adipurush” was inspired by the epic poem “Ramayana.” The second parallel, “Received bashing despite biggest stars joining it,” is accurate since despite being a part of Meta’s popular app portfolio that also includes Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook, the social networking app still receives criticism. In a same vein, the movie draws criticism despite starring well-known actors like Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. The third element, however, emphasizes the similarity of both being produced by people with a history of big-hit triumphs.

The statement “Lot of people came in the first 3 days, then it tanked” is a true reflection of how difficult it was for both Threads and “Adipurush” to retain their early pace. The last reason, “Made people realize the importance of original,” draws comparisons between Threads luring users back to Twitter and “Adipurush” bringing back memories of Ramanand Sagar’s renowned TV series “Ramayan,” which debuted in 1987.
