Man Discovers His Uber Auto Driver Is Juspay’s Chief Growth Officer in Peak Bengaluru

Bengaluru, an IT hub, often makes news for its “Peak Bengaluru” moments. The city is always busy thanks to its vibrant startup scene, heavy traffic, expensive rent, strange occurrences, and innovation. Another ‘Peak Bengaluru’ incident occurred when an Uber driver for a guy was Juspay’s Chief Growth Officer. The individual described how his Uber driver operated on the UPI app Juspay and the auto app Namma Yatri, both of which are owned by the payment app, on social networking site ‘X’, previously known as Twitter.

The guy said that his encounter was just another “Peak Bengaluru” incident to add to the lengthy list. The vehicle driver, named as Shan M S, is also an IIM Bangalore alumnus, per a LinkedIn search. For the last two years, he has worked for Juspay.

According to his profile, he was “leading growth and international business at Juspay on a mission to make payments open, quick, dependable, and affordable.” constructing NammaYatri, an open mobility project to give drivers more control and promote sustainable urban transportation.

An photograph that quickly gained popularity on social media showed a vehicle passenger paying by scanning on the driver’s wristwatch in a previous “Peak Bengaluru” event.

When the commuter selected the “Namma Yatri” service, the event happened. When the traveler requested the QR code to complete the transaction, he was startled. The vehicle driver then displayed his smart watch at this point. “Today at @nammayatri, I got to meet Namma Tony Stark. I requested the QR code from my car’s driver. A man showed me his smartwatch by flipping his hand. It turns out that he set the QR code as the screensaver for his wristwatch. So much gear,” the user said beside a photo.
