Man Spends Rs 20,000 in 15 Minutes at Gurugram Store; Thanks to This “Salesman”

Senior associate Pranay Loya of Bain and Company recently transformed an ordinary trip to the store to buy an office bag into an unforgettable experience of entrepreneurship at a DailyObjects store in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub. Thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of a passionate salesperson, Loya’s seemingly straightforward search for an office bag turned into an unforeseen spend of Rs 20,000, which he reported on LinkedIn.

Loya entered the DailyObjects shop and was greeted by a friendly staff member who turned out to be Pankaj Garg, one of the co-founders of the well-known Indian lifestyle and tech accessory firm. The salesman’s enthusiasm amused Loya, who said, “Apki firm hai, aise bech rahe ho jaise ye product toh! (You are marketing goods as if it were your business.)

Loya was surprised to learn that he was in fact communicating with the co-founder. He writes, “He looked at me, smiled, and continued to show different products,” recalling the embarrassing moment.

Garg continued to talk about his vast experience, adding that he has been to over 25 countries and all around India in search of trends and inspiration for designs. He also emphasized the over 2.5 million consumers he has served and the partnerships he has with over 500 artisans.

In spite of the unexpected meeting, Loya was enthralled by Garg’s enthusiasm for the product. “In his eyes, Loya saw the vision to be the best, the hunger to grow, and the passion to sell.”

“After leaving the store with several bags and a Rs 20k bill in hand, I thought about more than just a purchase,” he said.

He thanked Garg for turning his ordinary shopping experience into a “memorable encounter with entrepreneurship” and praised his constant dedication and enthusiasm.

Loya expressed his excitement about Gurgaon by saying, “I love being in Gurgaon.” At random, you run to meet business entrepreneurs and celebrities in unexpected locations!

LinkedIn users have responded to his message with hundreds of likes and comments since he shared it online.

“I adore Everyday Objects. I don’t know what’s wrong with their stuff; you simply can’t stop purchasing after one or two,” a user commented. “I’ve had so many praises for my bag.

Another said, “Founder understands the value of customers.”

A third person expressed their viewpoint, stating that the shop is really wonderful and meets their expectations from the advertisements.
