Old Video Surfaces, SRK Responds Appropriately to BBC Anchor Questioning ‘Sexism’ in Bollywood

Shah Rukh Khan continues to reign supreme in Bollywood. After “Pathaan” and “Jawan’s” popularity, the actor has shown that he is here to stay. King Khan is well-known not just for his superb acting abilities and charisma, but also for his quick wit and candor when responding to inquiries. The actor is renowned for his clever comments, which often leave interviewers perplexed. In response to a BBC anchor’s question on “Sexism” in Bollywood, the actor is seen in an old footage that has just emerged on Reddit.

How many Bollywood women have discussed the sexual aspect of the business, the anchor presses SRK. She considers the business to be “Sexist.” She asks him, “Have you done anything about it?” “Personally, when I am making films or even working in films, I am very clear about the attitude towards women,” he says. Their names appearing in the title first, down to the slightest details.

In between, the anchor cuts him off and begins probing further. Even though he seemed agitated, SRK was able to remain composed and respond appropriately.

Is the person she is speaking to even aware of her? read the video’s caption. Take a look at this for yourself:

The video has received a ton of feedback since it was released and has become quite popular. “Hard Talk is the name of this program. The journalists are direct in their reporting. The questions are challenging. But nothing Shah can’t manage, said a user of ‘X’. An other comment read, “Her questions are good and to the point, but isn’t she supposed to listen to her guest’s answers?!”

SRK has already garnered attention for his smart comments. The Pathaan actor was once questioned about whether he would have achieved the same level of fame and accolades if his name had been Shekhar Radha Krishna as opposed to Shah Rukh Khan.

If he had a different name, I don’t believe it would make a difference. Through my job or in any other way, I have never been informed about my faith in this lovely nation. When I hear this, I too think it’s incredibly unusual. I believe that artists tend to see through boundaries. Since you don’t really think about who is from what group or sect, you simply enjoy it or don’t, I believe that art and artists have that propensity. In 2009, SRK said at the India Today Conclave, “I would still smell as sweet whatever name you call me by.”
