The capital city of Kerala’s Retro DJ Night invites forty-year-olds to the dance floor

The lights are lowered and the stage is ready. The city is getting ready for its very first Retro DJ Night, which promises to transport guests back in time to a bygone era of music.

DJ evenings are usually linked to younger audiences. But this exclusive DJ event is a unique occasion just for anyone over 40.

Someone does not necessarily lose their passion of hitting the dance floor with pals just because their youth is behind them. These people, who previously relished the vitality and companionship of their youth, need to have the chance to relive those times and make new ones.

This event, which is slated to take place at the WINK Vivanta Thiruvananthapuram on April 20, is set to be a celebration of bygone periods, with classic music of the past taking center stage.

DJ Arun, who is well-known for his proficiency with vintage music, is in charge of the event. “I wish to share the idea that nostalgic music can serve as a powerful means of bridging generations and providing a nostalgic trip down memory lane,” he said.

“Listening to music from the 1970s and 1980s is the best method for someone in their 50s or 60s to remember their younger years. DJ Arun continues, “It’s all about transporting people to their favorite experiences and rediscovering the charm of bygone eras.

From the neon-lit ’80s to the rebellious ’90s, and from the swinging ’50s to the groovy ’70s, the event seems to be a terrific way to develop a community of individuals who share a love for the classics. There will only be English chart-topping songs from that era included in the selection.

Additionally, DJ Arun intends to take this idea to other areas.

“By holding these gatherings, I want to promote a feeling of community. In addition, a bigger version of the same event is scheduled for May or June. To give the event more authenticity, I’m thinking of inviting vocalists, former members of rock bands, and other industry experts with connections to the classic music scene,” he adds.

The Retro DJ Night honors the enthusiastic individuals who value the allure of retro culture more than it does music. It is suggested that guests put on their dancing shoes as the clock strikes 7.30 in order to be ready to dance the night away to classic music.
