These Powerful Visual Effects From An Indian TV Series Will Make You Doubt The Law of Physics

Drama, if there is one word that sums up Indian TV series, is it. To keep viewers interested, TV soap operas often use techniques like slow motion, zooming in, dramatic music, and even visual effects. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, the outcome is a badly produced and weak scenario. One such scene, from a vintage spooky comedy, is now making the rounds. A clip from the Star Plus series Nazar, which features the wicked witch, who is the show’s antagonist, clutching a kid by its long hair and tossing it down a cliff, was posted on Tuesday by an X user.

The toddler’s shocked parents flee to the edge of the video as the witch seems happy and triumphant as she stands on a bus. The scene’s poor visual effects would make you laugh out loud rather than frighten yourself. The X user commented, “These TV serial’s VFX are going out of hand,” beside the video.

“It’s perplexing to see directors compromising on quality for mass appeal, the irony is, audiences still applaud!” said an X user. Critical thinking seems to be on vacation.

People who were used to the dramatization of television soap operas seemed less taken aback. As one of these people said, “This is not even 50%, believe me.” I was expecting the youngster to be saved by both the hero and the heroine. The hero or heroine will perish in the end (in a mere two minutes). Two minutes later, life will arrive.

“That’s what you get when production does not have enough budget and hires a low cost VFX team of trainees,” said another X user.

“I watched three seasons of Naagin and wonder why I even watched that,” commented someone who remembered watching Nazar. To be honest, I didn’t miss any episodes in the first season of Naagin, but I did skip a couple in the second and third seasons after that.

A few individuals found the film insulting, but the majority of people responded to it with humor. In the post, an X user mentioned Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the National Commission for Women, writing, “This StarPlus video clip should belong in the comic category like Pogo or CN since it depicts harm to children. What kind of crap are these serial killers giving the public? need responses.

Nazar ran for nearly 400 episodes on StarPlus between 2018 and 2020. In the key parts were Monalisa, Niyati Fatnani, and Harsh Rajput.
