This Heartwarming Bear Video in Sonamarg Will Brighten Your Mood

Sonamarg, a popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal region, has become a gorgeous winter wonderland as a result of the recent snowfall. Following a few days of modest rainfall that lowered temperatures across the Valley, Kashmir saw a return of the winter cold. The spectacular beauty of Sonamarg has captured the attention of many people in a number of videos that have been circulated online.

The public’s attention has recently been drawn to a visually captivating film from Sonamarg that shows a bear ambling over the snowstorm. The bear is shown in the video barking at several dogs, as if to frighten it, but the bear is not alarmed by their presence.

With the title, “Bear spotted just now in Sonamarg, snowfall has picked pace currently Video from Mudasir Rashid bhai,” Weatherman Shubham posted the popular video to X (previously Twitter).

Online viewers have seen the film over 31,100 times and have responded to it in a variety of ways. A person wrote, “Wow!” without more explanation, while another voiced worry and said, “Sad to see dogs bothering it.” Wildlife is at risk from feral dogs. In order to reduce the dog population, we must use humane but practical approaches.

The biggest animal in Kashmir, the Himalayan Brown Bear, is seldom seen since it usually lives at an elevation of 2,000 to 2,500 meters, mostly above the tree line. These bears are critically endangered because of their declining numbers.

Meanwhile, authorities said on Monday that landslides near Kishtwari Pather in Banihal, which were caused by rain, kept the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway blocked to motor vehicles. The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police advised people to avoid travel and issued a warning against traveling on NH-44, which is closed because of significant landslides near Kishtwari Pather.

An avalanche warning has also been issued for the upper portions of Kishtwar and Kishtwari Pather districts in the Kashmir valley by the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA).

The meteorological bureau predicts that Kashmir will get mild to moderate rain and snow (over higher elevations) until April 16. From April 17–18, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts mostly dry weather, while there may be a chance of late-afternoon thunderstorms in certain places. The meteorological agency further said that from the evening of April 19 to the morning of April 20, a variety of places should see partly overcast conditions with light rain or snow (higher reaches).
