Unbelievable: Woman Wants To Put Her Dog To Death ‘Just Because It Barks’

The worst choice a pet owner can make is whether to put their animal to sleep, but the British woman’s petty justification for wanting to put her dog to sleep is surprising and heartbreaking. In Thirsk, North Yorkshire, the founder of a rescue facility shared the tale of a lady who asked a veterinarian to do the treatment on her dog solely “because it barked at people.” The founder of Lucie’s Animal Rescue, Lucie Holmes, told the BBC that she received a call from a lady who wanted to surrender her two-year-old dog, Markus. Due to accommodations, the former had to decline the request; nonetheless, two hours later, she got one of the startling calls from her neighborhood veterinarian.

According to texts examined by BBC, the dog owner said she was trying to find a new home for her dog since he was always barking at people, cars, and other dogs. Markus was neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, but the owner verified that he wasn’t trained. Only hours after Lucie notified the lady that the center was filled, a nearby veterinarian got in touch with her. The doctor described a woman who asked to have her dog put down because she was unable to handle his barking. The vet allegedly acknowledged Markus, a two-year-old mongrel, when Lucie asked whether she was referring to him.

“It’s repulsive. Due to my ongoing rage, I have had trouble sleeping. Dogs howl. They do it that way, Lucie said. The creator apparently got in touch with the lady again after becoming worried for the dog’s welfare. She consented to take Markus in despite the fact that 34 kittens and 9 dogs share her home. “I informed the owner that Markus did not need to be put to death. He need instruction and patience, she continued.

Before adopting a pet, the creator underlines how important it is to do rigorous study. “You wouldn’t take a toddler to nursery and expect him or her to be blissfully happy immediately,” said Lucie. Markus is reportedly working with the rescue organization right now.

Notably, the only course of action advised when a pet is in excruciating pain and is not expected to recover is euthanasia. It provides a compassionate means of ending an animal’s suffering in the last stages of its life.
