Bear enters Californian residence and gorges on plum sauce and mangoes

A lady in California was surprised to find that a bear had gotten into her home and ransacked her refrigerator when she got home.

When Chelsea Mapanda arrived at her residence in the early hours, the side door of her Sierra Madre home was already open. She saw the fridge open and food all over the floor as she cautiously peered through the glass to check for an intruder.

“I was strolling across my courtyard when I saw that my side door, which is on the left, was wide open. We were informed that a bear was nearby, so I instantly understood that one was in my home, Mapanda told KTLA5.

She said that the bear had consumed mangoes from the refrigerator, fresh honey, and plum sauce.

Soon later, the cops were called to her home after hearing noises coming from within the house. Police sealed the area and waited outside the house with Mapanda as they awaited help from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Before wildlife authorities arrived, the bear ultimately left the house on its own, according to UPI. Locals were urged to stay away from the area until officials could ensure that the animal was no longer there.
