Watch | Indian Song “Dulhan Banami” Blended with the Japanese Band MADKID’s Shin Grooves

The catchy hit “Dulhan Banami” from Sambalpuri has become an international sensation, even finding its way to Japan and enthralling listeners elsewhere. Shin, a well-known member of the Japanese band MADKID, recently shared a video of himself dancing to the catchy song on social media, sparking a worldwide hit.

Shin is shown enthusiastically swaying to the upbeat rhythms of “Dulhan Banami” in the video, which was released a month ago. This shows how appealing and cross-cultural the song is.

If you’re a fan of Instagram reels, you’ve probably seen “Dulhan Banami,” the 2023 viral phenomenon. The original music video for the song has received an astounding 44 million views on YouTube in the short six months since it was released.

“Love from India” was a common remark made by Indians on Shin’s video. “Sambalpuri songs are reaching the heights and getting recognized worldwide now,” a user said. I’m very excited about this.

This is a noteworthy double crossover since the song “Dulhan Banami” was created via an Odisha-Assamese artist partnership. Composed by renowned Sambalpuri musician Bijay Anand Sahu, the song features a collaboration of skill between Odia vocalist Kiran Dash and adored Assamese artist Achurjya Borpatra.

With lyrics written by regular collaborator Pratham Kumbhar, Achurjya Borpatra appears with Assamese actress and dancer Annanyya Kashyap in the official song video. Notably, Tanzanian couple Killi Paul and Neama Paul demonstrated their dancing skills to the same song last November, so this isn’t the first time the music has drawn the attention of well-known content makers.
