A fake death certificate for an 80-year-old woman was issued in Bihar because of a property dispute

There are several examples of property conflicts in India leading to family fights and breakups. In Bihar, a situation comparable to this has been making news; the lady in question was listed as deceased in official documents, even though she was still alive.

The event took place at Budhwadih village, which is situated in the Chakai block region of the Jamui district’s Ward No. 11 of Madhopur Panchayat. According to reports, a property dispute between stepbrothers was the primary cause of this. To get justice for her life, the lady had to battle in court for many months.

The lady is identified as Lakhpati Devi, and she is reportedly 80 years old. According to reports, her own family was the only ones who committed the deception throughout the whole case. According to reports, the woman’s death was noted in official government records despite her death certificate having been incorrectly issued. Lalkishore Yadav, the son of Lakhpati Devi, said that his father, Dhaneshwar Yadav, was married twice and had children from each of his wives.

He continued by saying that his father had around 4.25 acres of land and was a wealthy guy. He went on to say that his stepmother had passed away and that his stepbrothers had registered Lakhpati Devi’s death on a death certificate. He went on to say that the primary goal of this was to get the property share.

Lakhpati Devi informed the authorities in her block and district about the issue and filed a formal complaint. The lady continued to go around demanding justice while holding her death certificate.

The lady battled for eight months before receiving justice and having her case heard in court. According to official documents, the lady is no longer regarded as deceased. Officials took strong action against the family that faked Lakhpati Devi’s death certificate as soon as they learned of the whole situation. Now that she’s alive, the lady is content that she received justice.
