Even the preparations were done by the father-in-law. Sikandar told the press that he was happy to have consented to the marriage.

On social media, a video of the incident featuring Sikandar dotting his mother-in-law’s forehead with sindoor has gone viral.

But this isn’t the first instance of it. According to rumors, a while back, a groom in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal District called off his wedding after seeing his mother-in-law dancing and smoking cigarettes during their pre-wedding celebrations.

According to reports, the groom was taken aback upon arriving at the wedding location upon seeing his mother-in-law smoking cigarettes in public during the celebrations. The bridegroom abruptly called off the wedding and put an end to the festivities. Later on, however, the issue was addressed when a panchayat was summoned.
