Bihar: An autorickshaw struck by another car in Lakhisarai resulted in eight deaths and several injuries

In the Lakshisarai district of Bihar, close to Julona village, within the Ramgarh Chowk police station area, there was a horrifying crash on National Highway 30. The impact of the head-on collision between an autorickshaw and a truck was so great that the autorickshaw toppled.

There were eight deaths at the site out of the fourteen passengers in the autorickshaw, and the seriously wounded were sent to the neighboring hospital for further care. Since the wounded people’s health is becoming worse, PMCH Patna has been recommended to them for further medical attention.
Witness Anil Misri, who lives in Mahisona village near the Tetarihat police station, was present at the scene and told reporters that his brother-in-law, Manoj Kumar, the driver of the autorickshaw, had received a request from a driver to pick up some passengers in Halsi and take them to Lakshisarai. The truck and the CNG autorickshaw collided violently while traveling from Halsi to Lakshisarai, close to Julona, in the vicinity of the Ramgarh Chowk police station. After the incident, fourteen persons were hurt; eight of them were declared dead at the site, and the other six were sent to the district hospital, where one of them passed away from injuries.

Due to their serious state, the accident’s wounded have been sent to PMCH Patna, and it is possible that there may be more casualties than first thought. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Inspector Amit Kumar, the event happened close to Julona village. Every passenger was going to Lakshisarai from Halsi. It is now unknown, nevertheless, why exactly every passenger traveled from Halsi to Lakshisarai.
