“Sordid storytelling”: The BJP claims Nitish Kumar “lost mental balance” and has to step down

Despite Nitish Kumar’s apologies before the state house, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday requested that he step down due to his “population control” comment, saying he had “lost his mental balance.” The most cutting criticism of Kumar, the erstwhile BJP ally, came from Nishikant Dubey, who called Kumar’s comments “porn story telling”.

“Do listen to Mahaguru Nitishanand Maharaj’s porn story telling and keep the population in control,” the BJP MP said in a mocking post on X.

Speaking on Tuesday on the need of women’s education in managing the state’s population, the chief minister of Bihar explained how a woman may manage her husband during sex. More births resulted from the husband’s actions. But as women get more educated, they are able to control men, which is why fewer people are being born,” stated Kumar, sparking a heated political debate.

Kumar expressed regret for his comments made at the assembly on Wednesday, under a barrage of sharp criticism from the BJP. “I apologise and I take back my words,” he said.

The BJP, however, was not appeased by the apologies.

RK Singh, a union minister, expressed his regret today that Nitish Kumar was Bihar’s chief minister.

“I believe that everyone in Bihar should feel embarrassed at their Chief Minister’s use of such vulgar language in the Assembly…It’s a statement fit for third grade.”Nitish Kumar is insane,” he said.

“His statements are meant to shame women,” said BJP leader Vijay Sinha. The Maa Janki live in this territory. His treatment of the ladies in the Assembly was seen by the whole nation. CM can’t remember anything… He need to step down. He is no longer deserving of a seat in the Assembly.

Party leader Sushil Modi referred to his comments as sexist.

“The whole state of Bihar feels humiliated, notwithstanding his apology. He said, “How did he have the guts to say something so sexist?”

Nitish Kumar, according to Union minister Nityanand Rai, has lost his mental equilibrium.

“I found his comments to be really offensive. Someone who lacks mental equilibrium is the only one capable of using such crude language against women. He is no longer deserving of the position of CM. He has damaged the nation’s reputation by defiling its culture. He need to issue a sincere apology and step down from public office, he told ANI.

According to AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the comment was unsuitable.

“There is a particular holiness about the Legislative Assembly… it is a hallowed site…The language used was foul. He might have said that women who have adequate education should be allowed to choose when to start a family, but instead he inappropriately portrayed it with words and motions “…

Rekha Sharma, the head of NCW, claimed that Kumar’s comment was disparaging to women. She also insisted that the comments be removed from the assembly’s minutes.

The males seated behind him were laughing, which made his speech in front of the ladies in the assembly seem like dialogue from a C-grade film. His motions and behavior resembled an offensive joke. The worst part is that they still haven’t been erased by the Speaker. The Speaker of the Bihar Assembly need to take action against him; his remarks ought to be removed, she said.

Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar and an ally of Nitish Kumar, toned down the comment on Tuesday.

“I have one item to tell you. If there is a misinterpretation, it is incorrect. The CM made a comment on sex education. Every time the subject of sex education is brought up, people hesitate. These days, schools teach this. In schools, biology and science are taught. Kids discover it. He said that practical steps should be taken to halt population growth. It is important not to interpret this incorrectly. He had said, “It ought to be viewed as a sexual education.”

Inside the legislature on Wednesday, the opposition demonstrated against Kumar. In response to the demonstration, Kumar said that their political parties had given them the order to criticize him.
