Tejashwi Slams BJP For Slapping Party Leader’s Death on His Government

Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, blasted the opposition BJP on Friday for attributing the death of a party leader who was marching in a parade on his administration.

Yadav also reacted angrily upon discovering that the BJP’s national leadership had assembled a four-person fact-finding committee to investigate the passing of Vijay Singh, the district general secretary of Jehanabad, who passed away in a local government hospital the day before.

The events that led to the lathi charge during the BJP’s Vidhan Sabha march have previously been described by the administration. The teenage RJD leader said that they had brought bags full of chili powder that they had thrown at police officers.

During the just finished monsoon session of the legislature, which was regularly interrupted due to commotion caused by members of the opposition parties, he accused the BJP of engaging in “negative politics.”

He said that they missed the chance to bring up topics that the administration would have wished to address.
Yadav said he did not want to comment on Singh’s death since it was still being investigated, despite the fact that the physicians who treated him stated there were no signs of trauma on his body and the police said CCTV evidence indicates he was not there when “mild” use of force occurred.

Yadav also questioned, “Why is the Bihar administration, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, being held responsible for the death? Was the Prime Minister blamed for the farmer fatalities that occurred during their lengthy uprising in Delhi?

He further emphasized that no one has been held accountable for the current violence in BJP-ruled Manipur as of now.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Arlekar, the governor of Bihar, met with a team from the BJP headed by its state unit president Samrat Choudhary.

Choubey informed reporters as he left Raj Bhavan, “We submitted a memorandum demanding an investigation into the death of Singh by the CBI or a sitting High Court judge.”

Former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, whose Hindustani Awam Morcha just joined the BJP-led NDA, and Prince Raj, an MP of the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party led by Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, were in attendance to support the BJP team.
