According to a report, Apple’s upcoming AirPods will have the ability to test your hearing and measure your body temperature

Apple appears to have huge intentions for this year, as the latest rumours indicate that the tech behemoth from California, which recently introduced its Visio Pro headset at the WWDC, is now preparing to launch a new generation of much smarter AirPods for its followers all across the world. According to rumours, the Apple AirPods, which are expected to be unveiled next year, would likely offer new functions for hearing health and body temperature monitoring.

New Features for Apple AirPods
The highly anticipated next-generation Apple AirPods will include Type-C ports, and Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has reported that the Type-C port may replace the Lightning port on iPads and iPhones. The newsletter also stated that if we follow Apple’s three-year upgrade cycle, the AirPods will debut in 2024 and the AirPods Pro 3 will follow in 2025.

The updated AirPods may also have stronger connectivity options for greater interoperability with the Apple Vision Pro headset, which will also go on sale next year, according to Gurman’s email.

New Hearing And Temperature Capabilities For Apple AirPods
The newsletter also claimed that the tech giant is developing a new hearing test feature that would assess a user’s hearing capacity. In order to determine whether there is any hearing difficulty, it will be tested by playing various tones and sounds.

Additionally, it was stated that Apple planned to advertise the Apple AirPods as a hearing aid and might include new features like Conversation Boost and Live Listen. However, it is still unclear how the features will function or whether they would improve listener quality.

The new temperature-checking feature in Apple AirPods
Gurman claims that the business will also release a brand-new feature that can measure body temperature. Apple reportedly plans to include sensors into the AirPods so that the technology can measure body temperature through the ear canal. Gurman added that the information gathered would be more precise than wrist temperature. Given that the story claims Apple has already planned to include such a tool, it is hardly shocking.
