Assam Day Cultural Events Are Planned for the India International Trade Fair in 2023

On Wednesday, November 22, during the 42nd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023 being held at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, Assam Day will be celebrated. The main guest for the event will be Bimal Borah, the minister of industries, commerce, public enterprises, and cultural affairs for Assam.

Assam’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs, Bimal Borah, would be the distinguished guest for the event.

At one of the amphitheatres, a wide range of events is planned to highlight the rich cultural tapestry and variety of Assam. Enthralling acts like as the Satriya, Jhumur, Hajong, and Bihu dances as well as musical presentations by renowned musicians like Ridip Rankit and Bhrigu Kashyap will be shown throughout the celebrations.

Within the fairgrounds, a special area called the Assam Pavilion serves as a showcase for the state’s rich cultural diversity. The pavilion, which was inaugurated on November 14 by Ravi Kota, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries and Commerce, captures the rich history of Assam. Government programs like One District One Product, GI goods like Assam Lemon, Gamusa, and Muga silk, along with traditional Assamese clothing, and platforms supporting programs like Assam Start-Up and Ease of Doing Business are some of its features.

The Assam Pavilion is a hive of activity and innovation, home to 32 MSME businesses, two start-ups, and five government ministries or PSUs.

The two-week celebration of varied cultures and economic interchange, themed ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – United by Trade,’ will come to an end on November 27 at this year’s India International Trade Fair.
