The C40 Recharge EV model’s pricing would be rising, according to Volvo India. The price of the C40 Recharge has increased from its newly announced initial ex-showroom price of Rs 61.25 lakh to Rs 62.95 lakh. Over 100 Volvo C40 Recharge units have already been reserved by the company.

The XC40 Recharge and the recently released C40 Recharge are included in Volvo’s EV lineup in India. At Volvo’s Hoskote facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, both of these EVs are locally built. The Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 are two additional EV sector leaders with whom the C40 Recharge is in direct competition. Only interested purchasers who place an order for a refundable sum of Rs. 1 lakh on Volvo’s official website will be able to purchase the C40 Recharge.

Design for the Volvo C40 Recharge
The Volvo C40 Recharge has recognizable design aspects including the coupe roofline and Thor’s Hammer LED headlights. It also takes some style inspirations from the Volvo XC40 Recharge. There are eight distinct color possibilities for the Volvo C40 Recharge: Sage Green, Onyx Black, Black Stone, Fusion Red, Thunder Grey, Fjord Blue, Silver Down, and Crystal White.

Performance Recharge for the Volvo C40
Built on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) chassis, the Volvo C40 Recharge has two electric motors that provide a combined 408 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque. WLTP claims that the C40 Recharge’s 78kWh battery provides a 530 km driving range after being completely charged. The Volvo EV has a peak speed of 180 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds.

In recent news, Volvo said that it will cease producing any diesel vehicles by the beginning of 2024 in order to transition to an all-electric vehicle company. By 2030, Volvo intends to have an all electrified fleet of vehicles.
