Co-founder of Zilingo FIR says accusations are unfounded

MUMBAI: On the same day that the Times of India reported that Ankiti Bose, the former CEO and co-founder of Zilingo, had filed a criminal complaint against Dhruv Kapoor, the other co-founder, and Aadi Vaidya, the former COO, local police had filed a first information report (FIR) against the two, they each released a statement claiming that Bose’s accusations against them are unfounded and untrue.
“The accusations made by Bose against Kapoor are spiteful, unfounded, and without merit.

She was fired from the corporation after a comprehensive inquiry established her malfeasance. This behavior seems to be nothing more than reprisal. “I maintained my integrity during my time at Zilingo by supporting the board’s investigation into the CEO’s misbehavior, cultivating business partnerships, and working to create morally sound products,” Kapoor said in a statement released on Wednesday.
According to Vaidya, Bose’s action seems to be nothing more than a “clear afterthought done with a malicious intention” to harass and damage his reputation.

Bose filed accusations of harassment, fraud, criminal intimidation, and conspiracy. The Singapore-based B2B fashion firm fired her as CEO in May 2022 due to suspected financial irregularities. Bose said in her six-page lawsuit that Vaidya and Kapoor had forced her to give up her business and shares on false pretenses and had deceived her and the company’s investors in an effort to benefit financially. It was her opinion that Kapoor and Vaidya made the decision to be “sneaky and shady” by withholding information about the firm.
