Emoji reactions are now supported by Gmail on Android: What It Does

Gmail users will now be able to respond to emails with emoji responses thanks to Google. Currently, only Android smartphones are receiving this function; however, it is soon anticipated that it will also be available on iOS and the web.

Users may now rapidly respond to emails, particularly the informal ones they sometimes send, by adding an emoji, which has long been a feature demanded.

ON GMAIL, HOW TO ADD AN EMOJI REACTION

You must first visit Gmail while using an Android device, such as a phone or tablet, as was previously specified. Open the email to which you want to respond with an emoji. Now search for “Add emoji reaction” underneath the message, which is followed by a grinning emoji. You may choose an emoji from a list provided by Google in the picker.

A list of circumstances that can prohibit you from sending emoji responses on Gmail has also been provided by Google. To begin with, those with work or school accounts won’t be able to send them. Second, users of older Gmail apps will get emails that read strangely indicating that someone responded through Gmail. Additionally, you won’t be able to read responses if you access your Gmail messages using a third-party application like Microsoft Outlook, if you have 20 times responded to the same message, or if the reply is being sent to a group email list.

Having said that, certain responses are more subdued and occupy less space on the screen than others, notably the confetti reaction, which covers your Gmail page in confetti.
