Good News for Finance Professionals: According to an ACCA survey, Indian Employers Plan To Hire

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a worldwide organization of accountants, has discovered that Indian firms have a high need for hiring finance or accounting specialists. 96% of the Indian businesses questioned by ACCA said they intended to recruit financial or accounting personnel in 2024.

According to ACCA, India’s employment market has a significant amount of room for expansion, especially in the financial sector, since interest in hiring professional accountants is much higher than the worldwide average of 83%.

Indian employers from a variety of industries participated in this study, 63% of them are in the financial industry, 20% are in human resources (HR), and 14% are in learning and development (L&D).

A significant 80% of Indian companies reported having trouble finding qualified finance experts, according to the poll.

About 80% of the companies also said that they intended to upskill and continue training their current finance workers in order to stay up with the industry’s changing needs.

ACCA is at the forefront, offering a platform for aspirant students and professional accountants to seek an internationally recognized certification, as the demand for international professional credentials in accounting and finance continues to increase in India.

According to Md. Sajid Khan, director of ACCA India, “There are numerous opportunities for both aspiring accountants and those considering a career in finance to contribute to the growth of the Indian economy by embracing professional training and utilizing the potential the ACCA Qualification can give you.”

“We are keen to open up finance education to all those who have not had access to professional life, due to geography, or lack of access to advanced education,” said Lucia Real-Martin, executive director of connections at ACCA. Opening up chances to more people requires a number of critical variables, including digital learning, remote learning, and flexible learning.
