How to turn off advertisements from the Windows 11 start menu: a detailed tutorial

A new update (KB5036980) has been released by Microsoft for all Windows 11 users. In the next few weeks, all users will be able to download and install the update that adds advertisements to Windows 11’s start menu. After testing this feature for a few weeks in the Windows 11 Insider Preview, the tech giant has decided to make it available to all users. Soon, users’ Start menu will display “Recommendations” for Microsoft Store applications.

The business said in a blog post that the new feature would assist customers in finding some of the best applications out there and that these apps are created by a select group of developers.
Nevertheless, Microsoft will provide consumers with the option to turn off these “Recommendations” if they find these advertisements bothersome. Here’s a detailed tutorial that will help you get rid of these advertisements from Windows 11’s start menu:
Disabling advertisements in the Windows 11 start menu
Launch the “Settings” program by opening the Start Menu, searching, and opening
Select the “Personalization” menu item.
Select “Start” by tapping the left pane.
To stop the advertisements, choose the option that says “Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more.”

Users may also personalize their Start menu by using the Start option found in the Settings menu. For instance, users have the option to:
Display more tiles: This makes more tiles visible in the Start menu.
Show the Start menu’s app list: If you want to view a list of all applications right in the Start menu, toggle this.
Display newly added applications: This determines whether newly installed programs are shown at the top of the Start menu.
To start in full-screen mode, use: If you would like the Start menu to open full-screen, toggle this.
