India’s Whirlpool Q2 Profit Drops 22% to Rs 38 Crore

Whirlpool of India Ltd, a manufacturer of consumer durables, announced a 22.07 percent fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 38.20 crore for the second quarter that ended in September 2023 on Friday. The US-based Whirlpool Corporation subsidiary Whirlpool of India filed a regulatory filing a year ago stating that the business had recorded a net profit of Rs 49.02 crore.

During the reviewed quarter, revenue from operations decreased by 5.58 percent to Rs 1,521.56 crore from Rs 1,611.54 crore. The quarter’s total expenses came to Rs 1,503.17 crore, which is 4.06 percent less than the same time last year.

The September quarter’s total revenue was Rs 1,55,5.45 crore, a 4.8% decrease. On the BSE, Whirlpool of India shares were selling at Rs 1,597 a share.
