IndiGo improves the food service aboard

IndiGo Airlines, a subsidiary of Interglobe Aviation Limited, has updated its “Eats on-board” catering service to enable customers to pre-order their preferred meals from a carefully selected menu.

The menu has reportedly been added to all domestic and international flights, according to the carriers.

From a menu that has been carefully crafted, passengers may order their favorite items in advance. This offers fresh choices made up of national cuisine as well as regional specialties like street food. The new delicacies showcase India’s diverse culinary traditions while also giving it a fresh new look.

The airline also intends to introduce a feature that will let customers reserve their preferred meals in advance from a carefully curated menu that currently offers new alternatives made up of regional specialties like street cuisine and from cooks all around the nation.

“As the top carrier in India, we are always searching for ways to enhance the services we provide to our clients. Sanjeev Ramdas, Executive Vice President of Customer Services & Ops Control, IndiGo, said that the new 6E Eats menu offers a variety of fresh alternatives and takes into account input from passengers, flight attendants, and service partners.

“They say food unites a country, and that is exactly what we are attempting with our new choice-of-the-day regional meals,” he said.

As of now, IndiGo controls the industry with a share of close to 60% and has been a success due to the cheaper prices it charges for pre-flight meal reservations. Customers are so encouraged to purchase food early, enabling better planning on the part of the food service industry and reducing waste.
