These two Maruti Suzuki vehicles will see a price rise that takes effect immediately. There would be a possible rise of up to Rs 25,000 for the Maruti Suzuki Swift and an additional Rs 19,000 for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Sigma model. Maruti Suzuki had previously made suggestions earlier in the year that prices would rise throughout its portfolio as a result of higher cost inputs brought on by inflation and increasing commodity costs. Even while the firm tries to keep expenses as low as possible, it may need to pass some of the price increases on to customers.

Furthermore, the Manesar, Haryana, facility of Maruti Suzuki recently established a new assembly line to fulfil the growing demand for automobiles in the nation. With a yearly production capacity of 1 lakh, this new line considerably augments the Manesar facility’s entire manufacturing capacity to 9 lakh cars. With annual production capabilities of 7.5 lakh units at its Hansalpur factory in Gujarat and 7 lakh units at its Gurugram facility in Haryana, Maruti Suzuki maintains three manufacturing facilities in India. The firm wants to fulfil the increasing demand for its cars in both local and foreign markets; therefore, it is expanding strategically and increasing its manufacturing capacities.

Even after the announcement of the price increase, Maruti Suzuki’s sales are still quite good. The business sold 187,196 units in total in March, taking into account both local and foreign markets. Just domestic sales were 156,330, a significant 14% rise over the same time the previous year. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki sold 4,974 units to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and exported 25,892 units.
