Nissan Global EV Sales Cross the Milestone of One Million Units

Nissan has had favorable consumer reaction ever since it joined the electric vehicle market. On August 3, the group issued a formal statement announcing that it has hit the 1 million unit sales milestone in the worldwide EV market.

According to information provided by the firm in an official press release, the Nissan LEAF, which debuted in December 2010, has sold more than 6.50,000 units globally. It is the model that is now offered in 50 different worldwide markets, including those in Europe, the United States, and Japan.

The e-four-wheeler continues to entice clients throughout the world and has garnered several major prizes, according to the company.

Sales of Nissan Ariya EVs

In addition, the Japanese manufacturer has begun selling its Ariya all-electric crossover on the global market. It has a futuristic look, cutting-edge technology, and the newest features, including the ProPILOT 2.0 sophisticated driver assistance system and the e-4ORCE all-wheel control system, which is useful for drivers on highways with single-lane traffic.

According to the firm, the EV has already attracted a lot of interest and received the Red Dot Design Award in Germany as well as the Auto Color Award 2021 Grand Prix in Japan. Ariya was also told by Brand that she has been included in the list of the Top 10 Interiors & UX. For the mini-vehicle market in its own country, the firm also introduced Sakura, its first EV, in an effort to draw in new consumers. The business obtained an order for that specific car for around 50,000 units.

Nissan’s Fiscal Year 2030 Plan

Nissan has already developed a strategy for the next fiscal year 2030, according to which it plans to introduce 19 EV cars. The business is also trying to launch electric vehicles (EVs), which will run on batteries that were produced internally. According to Nissan, they should succeed by the fiscal year 2028.
