NVIDIA CEO Meeting with PM Modi: AI and India’s Technological Potential Among Main Topics

On Monday night in New Delhi, at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg (the prime minister’s official home), Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, meets with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement is made as India prepares to welcome a number of guests at the G20 Summit. President of the United States Joe Biden is on the list.

The second meeting with the PM, according to an NVIDIA blog, signifies the GPU manufacturer’s determination to play a significant role in the nation’s “fast-growing” technological industry.

Mr. Jensen Huang was pleased with the advancements India has achieved in this area and equally optimistic about the country’s gifted young.

The blog also emphasized India’s recent achievements on the Moon’s south pole and the most technologically sophisticated democracy in the world. One of the meeting’s hot topics was India’s potential in the burgeoning AI industry.

The CEO later met scientists from the Indian Institute of Science and other campuses of the Indian Institute of Technology. According to the blog, the group included some of the best minds in a variety of disciplines, including astrophysics, quantum computing, medicine, large language models (LLM), and natural language processing.

The use of technology to overcome language barriers, increase agricultural productivity, and close healthcare service gaps was one of the discussion’s main topics. Additionally, throughout the conversation, the transition to digital economy was also covered.

The gaming corporation started operating in the nation in Bangalore in 2004 and today has four engineering development centers. Since ChatGPT first appeared on the market last year, the firm has placed significant bets on AI.
