A notice from government oil marketing organizations said that the price per liter for gasoline in Kolkata was Rs 106.03 and diesel was Rs 92.76. Conversely, in Chennai, a liter of diesel is sold for Rs 94.24 and a gallon of petrol for Rs 102.63.
In Ghaziabad, among other cities, the price of gasoline was Rs 96.58 per litre and that of diesel was Rs 89.75. Petrol cost Rs 107.24 a litre in the capital of Bihar, Patna, while diesel was priced at Rs 94.04 per litre. Diesel was selling at Rs 90.05 per litre in Gurugram, while petrol was selling for Rs 97.18.
