Reliance Jio’s JioCinema Premium subscription, which starts at Rs 29, competes with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Advantages and more information

JioCinema Premium, a new subscription service from Reliance Jio, has been revealed. The monthly cost of the new plans is Rs 29. The brand-new JioCinema Premium plans will provide offline watching choices and an ad-free experience in up to 4K resolution.

On any device, including connected TVs, subscribers may enjoy Hollywood productions, kids’ programming, exclusive series, and TV entertainment.
A ‘Family’ plan, priced at Rs 89 per month, is also introduced, with an emphasis on multi-segment consumption among Indian homes.

Four displays may be used for simultaneous viewing with this arrangement. According to a press release, current JioCinema Premium customers are instantly upgraded to the Family plan at no extra cost.
Premium vs. Free
JioCinema Premium grants access to unique foreign material dubbed in regional languages, but JioCinema still provides free content, including live sports like the Indian Premier League. This means that JioCinema Premium members will have exclusive access to international content in local languages, wholesome family entertainment with parental control features providing a safe space for content consumption, and ports content, including the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and thousands of hours of entertainment content, will continue to be available for free as part of its ad-supported offering.

The CEO of Viacom18 Digital, Kiran Mani, stated: “Our goal is to empower our nation and its people by providing an unparalleled entertainment experience, not just by developing and constructing an entertainment ecosystem with a product designed for every Indian home.”
He went on, “JioCinema Premium’s launch eliminates the many obstacles to premium entertainment access that are related to price and quality. The customer-centric pricing, together with features like offline watching, best-in-class audio, 4K streaming, and no device restrictions, will undoubtedly democratize access to high-quality entertainment for the whole Indian population.
In addition, JioCinema has launched a campaign called “Toh Aaj Kya Plan Hai?” to draw attention to the primary advantages of JioCinema Premium while mockingly portraying the anxiety that modern customers experience while selecting an entertainment package.
