Salesforce announces the AI Cloud and plans to invest $500 million in generative AI businesses

Salesforce, a leader in enterprise software, has pledged to invest $500 million in businesses using generative artificial intelligence (AI).

The $500 million investment is a growth from the original $250 million and is a component of its Generative AI Fund, which supports entrepreneurs creating “responsible generative AI”.

The business will be able to “work with even more entrepreneurs, accelerating the development of transformative AI solutions for the enterprise,” according to Salesforce Ventures managing partner Paul Drews.

The way the world functions is already changing as a result of AI, and Drews said, “We’re excited to build on the momentum of our Generative AI fund.”

Additionally, Salesforce unveiled AI Cloud, a collection of tools designed to enable dependable, open, and timely generative experiences across all apps and processes.

By helping clients to satisfy their organisational data security and compliance requirements while providing them with the advantages of generative AI, AI Cloud’s new Einstein GPT Trust Layer allayes worries about risks connected with using generative AI.

Einstein, the first AI for CRM in the world, is the brains behind AI Cloud and now drives over one trillion predictions each week across all of Salesforce’s products.

“AI is reshaping our world and transforming business in ways we never imagined, and every company needs to become AI-first,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce.

“With trust at its core and supported by our new Einstein GPT Trust Layer, AI Cloud is the quickest and most straightforward solution for our clients to harness the extraordinary potential of AI. At the company’s presentation here, he said that AI Cloud will enable amazing creativity, productivity, and efficiency for any business.
