With the next iPhone 16, Apple could return to THIS iPhone 12 design

Though it hasn’t been long since Apple debuted its flagship iPhone 15 series, the device is so successful that online rumors and leaks about the company’s next flagship, the iPhone 16, have already begun to surface. According to the most recent reports, the Tim Cook-led business may modify the appearance of the volume button and camera on the iPhone 16 series, among other design elements.

Apple has reportedly developed many hardware iterations for the next iPhone 16 series, code-named DeLorean by Apple engineers for internal usage, according to a story on Macrumors.

According to the source, Apple is thinking of altering the camera bump design to a single pill-shaped shell on the iPhone X or the camera lens layout of the iPhone 12, even if the company is sticking with the vertical camera arrangement for the iPhone 16.

Furthermore, it seems from the sample photo obtained by Macrumors that Apple has no plans to move the camera flash. The source also states that compared to the iPhone X prototype, the Apple prototype devices had a camera configuration more akin to that of the iPhone 12.

Modifications to the volume button: Previous iterations of the iPhone 16 also have a new, unified volume button, which was originally planned to be a component of the iPhone 15 Pro model but was shelved at the time due to unsolved technical concerns, the report said.

The latest prototypes demonstrate that Apple is experimenting with the size of the Action Button; some designs have an Action Button that is noticeably bigger than the iPhone 15 Pro, while other versions have a button that is the same size.
