Concerning Laapataa Ladies
Kiran’s film Laapataa Ladies has been chosen to inaugurate the second edition of the IFFM Summer Festival. According to news agency ANI, the movie will get its Australian debut on February 29 at the festival before going on general distribution on March 1, 2024. The premise of the film, which is set in rural India in 2001, revolves around the separation of two young brides on a train and what occurs when police officer Kishan investigates the missing case.

Biplab Goswami wrote the screenplay for the movie, which was produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. Divyanidhi Sharma penned the extra lines, while Sneha Desai created the language and script. Starring in the movie are Nitanshi Goel, Sparsh Shrivastav, Pratibha Ranta, and Ravi Kishan.

Prior to this, Kiran had discussed the movie with ANI. She stated, “When we met Sneha Desai as a writer, I felt that this could be done because the story was very good, which was written by Bipalab, but it was very realistic, and I felt that the fun should come because this is a kind of satirical situation that two girls get separated and then what happens next.”
