About his Manipuri Meitei marriage ceremony, Randeep Hooda said, “Shadi to ladki ke ghar se hi hoti hai na.” – Exclusive

Randeep Hooda married his longtime companion Lin Laishram in a traditional Manipuri Meitei wedding ceremony in November 2023, telling a touching story of love and respect for culture. The marriage is a monument to the beauty of accepting variety in love, and it is rooted in tradition and respect. Randeep Hooda discussed the importance of respecting traditional heritage while disclosing personal aspects of his wedding journey in an exclusive conversation with ETimes.

He said bluntly, “I used to look like this runt; therefore, I got my head shaved for most of the year because of his most recent movie, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. I thus informed his wife that this is not how we should appear in our wedding photos. How will the kids perceive this?” Randeep, therefore, said that he got married after the completion of the Savarkar filming and returned in better physical form.

The actor’s devotion to giving it his all on this occasion demonstrates how much he cares for Lin and her culture. He underlined how crucial it is for partners to appreciate and understand one another.
Hooda examined how the terrain of cultural identity is changing while considering the larger social environment. “Weddings are held from the girl’s residence solely, Shadi to ladki ke ghar se hi hoti hai na. Because of our colonial past and the colonial history of the rest of the globe, the world is becoming more homogenised, and copying the West has become commonplace,” he said. “But I think there is a resurgence of self-pride in our own culture, in our way of life, in our civilization,” he said.
Randeep Hooda also conveyed his appreciation for the chance to serve as an inspiration to people at his nuptials. “Why should we be less than others?” he thought about. The actor said, “I’m happy that my wedding ceremony can inspire people.”
