Review of the film Singapore Saloon
The following quote was taken from the Hindustan Times’ review of Singapore Saloon: “The protagonist seems to be depressed for much of the film, and the film slows at several parts. Isn’t it supposed to inspire optimism in the audience? Let’s get to the performances. RJ Balaji gives a strong, believable performance as the hairdresser, although the filmmaker might have done a better job developing his character. Gokul utterly misses the opportunity to see him perfect his craft as a hairdresser; regrettably, this is Singapore Saloon’s weakness as he has attempted to combine too many components into one film.”
