According to Brindha Sivakumar, she was given the opportunity to portray Simran in “Kannathil Muthamittal.”

In the Tamil cinema business, Brindha Sivakumar is a well-known name, being the sister of actors Suriya and Karhti. She began her singing career in 2018 and has since performed in the films “O2, Mr. Chandramouli, Raatchasi, Jackpot, and Ponmagal Vandhal.” Although Brindha Sivakumar is concentrating on her singing profession, she recently said in an interview with a Tamil YouTube channel that she was given a job as an actor even before she began her career as a singer in the film business.

Brindha said that composer Karthik Raja had originally asked her to sing, but she had turned down the invitation since she was a student at the time. She subsequently claimed to have received an offer to star as the main female character in the 2002 Mani Ratnam film “Kannathil Muthamittal.” The singer clarified that she was contacted by filmmaker Sudha Kongara, who was Mani Ratnam’s partner at the time, about playing the character of Simran in the movie. She went on to say that she had just met Madhavan and had taunted him about missing out on an acting opportunity.
Brindha Sivakumar said that her professional goal has always been to pursue a career in singing and that she has no interest in acting. She also said that she had no idea what part had been given to her until her family members jokingly informed her that she had been asked to play a mother of three. She also gave actor Madhavan and actress Simran accolades for their outstanding performances in the film.
