Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan Battles; Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Earns Rs 50 Crore

Eid saw the release of the much awaited Ajay Devgn biographical drama Maidaan in theaters, along with the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The box office reception of both films, which were anticipated to be a festival upon their debut, left viewers feeling rather let down. Eight days after its release, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar, has finally, according to early estimates, joined the Rs 50 crore club in terms of international collection—a milestone that should have been attained in the first week. However, Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, which was once a reviewer favorite, performed appallingly at the box office. After eight days at the box office, the movie has brought in a total of Rs 28.25 crore globally.

Miyan Bade Chote Miyan had a respectable first day gross all throughout the nation, but after that the movie’s revenues were only in the single digits. The film was ultimately able to reach the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office thanks to relatively high ticket pricing and widespread release.

On its first day of release, the film made Rs 15.65 crore in revenue. Subsequently, the earnings for the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh days were as follows: Rs 7.6 crore, Rs 8.5 crore, Rs 9.05 crore, Rs 2.5 crore, Rs 2.4 crore, and Rs 2.55 crore.

According to a Sacnilk report, the eighth day’s revenue for the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was Rs 1.60 crore. Ali Abbas Zafar is the director and writer of the action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The main actors in it are Sonakshi Sinha, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chillar, and Akshay Kumar.

However, despite receiving great reviews, Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, which starred Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has not been able to draw a crowd to theaters. On the first day of release, “Maidan” brought in Rs 7.1 crore at the box office. On the second day, the movie brought in Rs 2.75 crore; on the third, Rs 5.75 crore; on the fourth, Rs 6.4 crore; on the fifth, Rs 1.5 crore; on the sixth, Rs 1.6 crore; and on the seventh, Rs 2 crore.

On its ninth day, Maidaan barely made Rs 1.15 crore, according to Sacnilk. So far, Ajay Devgan’s film has only brought in a total of Rs 28.25 crores across the nation. Amit Ravindranath Sharma is the director of Maidaan, which features Ajay Devgn as Syed Abdul Rahim, the coach of an Indian football squad in the 1950s. The actor portrays Syed Abdul Rahim, an innovative Indian football coach who served as such from 1952 until 1962.
