Amitabh Bachchan discusses the ‘Saara Zamana’ shoot from ‘Yaarana’ on ‘KBC 15’

In story about filming the song “Saara Zamana” from his 1981 film “Yaarana,” Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan said that the lit-costume he wore in the song was his invention.

Amitabh Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Neetu Singh, Tanuja, and Kader Khan starred in Rakesh Kumar’s musical drama “Yaarana,” which also featured Amjad Khan.

‘Saara Zamana’ was a song that Kishore Kumar sang. Amitabh Bachchan, the presenter of the quiz-based reality series “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” invited Jasnil Kumar from Anwak, Uttar Pradesh, to the hot seat in episode 28.

“My name is Jasnil Kumar, and I’m 36 years old,” the participant introduced himself. I’m originally from Anwak, a tiny hamlet in the Azamgarh area of Uttar Pradesh. I am employed at a retail clothing showroom. My grandpa, my father, and I make up my family. I am married. My wife and I have two children. I have two sisters and four younger brothers.

“I hope you win a significant sum as prize money and construct a good house for your parents,” Amitabh remarked. The participant in the discussion stated: “When I first began watching movies, I used to watch a lot of your movies. I can still remember them. ‘Yaarana’ is your greatest movie, in my opinion. Its foundation is friendship. It’s a fantastic film. I was smitten.

Jasnil received a response from Amitabh that said, “The music was wonderful, and beautiful tunes. And I asked my producer to attempt something new with one of its tunes. So, in Kolkata, a new stadium was constructed. Stadium inside. Stadium Netaji Subhash. He wanted to fire it there. I was also considering how it would be feasible. How will we fill a stadium that is empty?

“I proposed that news be out that we would be filming here. With that illuminated outfit, we recorded the song there. It was also my idea to wear that illuminated outfit. I made a serious error. I requested that the architect utilize lights. It must also shine. It is feasible, he said. Therefore, after he completed it, inquired as to his method. And he said that the cables are sometimes bound. The last wire will then be attached to the plug and light. So, it’s a lengthy tale,” Amitabh added.

“Let me share a story with you. In the song, you can see my hands moving in all the different dancing positions. I have an electrical connection. The plug is to blame. I’m hooked electronically, and the body was moving erratically. It was like that. That track from the movie “Yaarana,” he continued.

Sony broadcasts “Kaun Banega Crorepati 15.”
