Anurag Kashyap discloses that he saw a child psychologist in order to strengthen his bond with his daughter Aaliyah

More than ever, Anurag Kashyap is talking about his relationship with his daughter, Aaliyah. The director said that in an attempt to “improve” his connection with his sole child, he even sought professional assistance.
Speaking at a gathering in Kolkata, Kashyap characterized his relationship with his daughter as both “extremely difficult and extremely easy.” He acknowledged that he was to blame for prioritizing work above his daughter and said, “It is very difficult and very easy.”

My whole attention was on movies at the moment, so I haven’t spent as much time as I should have with my kid. I had a lot of enthusiasm.”
He said, “The more you grow in life, you realise that the most valuable thing is to spend time with family, keep your good friends close, and learn to be happy.” He was talking about the lessons he had to learn the hard way.
The director said that his love of movies and his lengthy workdays on site often prevented him from spending time with Aaliyah. He went to a child psychologist to help him strengthen his bond with his daughter, reflecting on his connection with her in the past. As he disclosed the results of his sessions, he said, “We weren’t fighting, but we were attempting to better understand each other.”
He even spoke about how he had to learn to accept the passage of time and the distinctions between his daughter’s and his own lives. He revealed and clarified, “They informed me that the world has changed. Calling on the phone… My kid won’t comprehend if I tell her that I had to wait in line to call her mother when I was younger.”

Anurag’s first wife, film editor Aarti Bajaj, gave birth to Aaliyah. 2009 saw the two break up, and he later married actress Kalki Koechlin. In 2015, his second marriage also ended in divorce. Kashyap is said to have kept up a cordial friendship and timely reunions with his ex-partners even after they broke up.
Aaliyah, 23, and her longtime partner Shane Gregoire are engaged as of right now. While on vacation in Bali in 2023, the handsome man popped the question. They still need to exchange vows in a religious ceremony.
